After reading all the reviews on this site I settled on this for my vehicle. I am very happy with it.
First it is very easy to use. Find an empty channel on your stereo and dial it in on the top of the holder. That's it! I've gotten a clear and strong signal each time. One time when I turned off my ipod there was a station on that channel yet the Advanced system had remained clear.
My only negative about it is that it doesn't shut off the ipod when you shut off the car. I end up removing the entire system when I leave the car or the ipod will keep running or have to turn off the ipod. In a way this is not a bad idea anyway. Hate to tempt someone who looks in the car and might see it.

I bought this for my iPod Nano 4G. I read reviews for other products like this but this one had a the least negative reviews and a good price.
I live in a large metropolitan area and I found that the signal was strong on the default frequency. As has been stated in other reviews you won't get CD quality sound but nobody should expect more than radio quality sound from a radio transmitter. It is radio after all.
I recommend this transmitter to anyone looking for a reasonably priced transmitter for their iPod.

I bought this product in advance of an upcoming road trip and have been quite pleased with it so far. The construction is sturdy and well made with the metal gooseneck, substantial padding in the cradle and secure adjustable base. The transmitter functions clearly and powerfully in both of my vehicles.
As one previous reviewer noted, there is no on/off switch on the unit which would be helpful vs. having to physically remove it from the outlet to power it down. And as a word of caution, depending on the location of your power source in your car, a smaller unit might be more practical - in one of my vehicles the shifter is in close proximity to the outlet and I have to be cautious not to bang it into my ipod when putting the car in park. This isn't really a problem with the unit itself as much as a design conflict but is something to keep in mind as you're considering which docking station might be right for you.
Overall I'm extremely satisfied with the unit however. I wanted something that would serve as a mounting dock, charging station and FM transmitter at a reasonable price and this unit ably fills the bill.

There are a bunch of these in the market and they dont work all that well. It is nice to have found one that has good sound reproduction
I also like the fact that when you use with the iphone you can talk handfree.. When the call comes in the music automatically lowers. You press the talk button on the phone and you hear the other party loud and clear through the car speakers
I now also have a home for the iphone, instead of it flying off the car seat. I lock it in the cradle and it stays put

So I was riding in my friend's car and noticed that he had a contraption for his iPhone. I checked it out and played around with it for a bit and loved how easy it worked. Now, I remember buying something like this five years ago called an iTrip for my iPod. I also remember how much battery it drained from my iPod while in use. I was compelled to give this product a try because I remember how cool it was to be able to play music from my MP3 player directly in my car.
I got on Amazon and found this product rather easily. The Accessory Power Go Grove Flexpod has a nice little video, I recommend watching if you want to see it in action. Having already seen it in my friend's car, I had no second thoughts about purchasing this product. So I placed my order on Friday and here it was at my house on Tuesday.
So open up the box and start playing around with it to see the different functions it is capable of. First thing I noticed is that has a USB port. Now, I know that this thing can play my iPhone through my car speakers while charging it. But it is telling me I can also charge my girlfriends Blackberry at the same time? That is ultra convenient, and I couldn't wait to get this thing in the car. I almost just went out there for no reason, just to test it out. When my girlfriend asked me to take her to the store, never have I been so excited about going shopping.
Unfortunately for her, we sat in the parking lot for about 15 minutes until I would finally quit playing around with the product. As soon as I plugged the Flexpod into the car adapter and attached my iPhone it was ready to go. The sound produced by the FM transmitter was rather impressive, in my opinion. My car just turned into a jukebox with 8 gig's of music so I no longer need to fumble around with CD's.
Now, I only have an older 8g model of the iPhone so I have around 1500 songs on it to play, but I remembered in the back of my head that I had an actual iPod that was 40gig's. So after the store, I ran back in the house to find the iPod, and my car library now has 4400 songs ready to go. We finally have a purpose for that old iPod again!
This product worked absolutely amazingly. I was blown away by the quality of the product. It sleek black look goes well in my car's black interior. The slot in which you slide your iPhone is protected with a soft material that looks like it will protect your iPhone instead of scratching it. This product will charge your iPhone AND has a USB plug for a blackberry (or anything that has a USB). The plug was very sturdy and held my iPhone in place even though I drive a little faster than most. The music automatically phases out when you have an incoming call, in which you can take directly through your car. When the call is over, your music starts back up again without having to fumble around with the controls.
I am definitely recommending this to everyone I know, and recommend it to anyone reading this, contemplating the purchase of this product!!!
