I couldn't believe it myself. I had previously bought an adaptor made by Griffin, one which is constantly being advertized by all the department stores and sells for around $30-40...I got to use it exactly 5 times to charge my iPod and it completely conked out. I'm pretty much done with anything Griffin makes after that experience. As I was going on a road trip, I needed an adaptor and went with this cheaper model...well we're closing in on 6 months and it's still working, and I use it very frequently...in fact I use it more than charging it on my computer and have had absolutely no problems whatsoever, and even better I bought it much cheaper used here on Amazon. My only complaint which is minor is that unlike other comparable models, the light that displays when it is in use is always on when it is plugged in and also while charging your iPod and it never comes off to show when it is fully charged, you have to look at your iPod to see when it is done.

One of the immediate things that I noticed about this product is that it is less gel-like that the original. In ways, that makes it a bit less convenient because it is slightly runnier. However, that feels much more natural and less invasive than regular Astroglide to me. It works well, and you don't need to use much of it. Highly recommended!

Since I don't always have access to a computer or car to charge my iPod, I started looking for other options and found this great charger.
I spent more on shipping than on the actual product. I think I spent $2+ on the charger and $7 or so on shipping. Totally worth it!!
