The charger shown here when pluged into your i phone 3G gives an error message...."not a supported device"
the usb cable work with my other chargers, so the cheap cable works, but the nicely built charger is out of date.
If your're buying for your i phone......forget it.

It didn't last. It broke after one use. The cable would not go completely into the charger and the charger broke when taking the cable out. The tab in the USB connector broke off and came out inside of the cable. It was a normal attempt to insert the cable with no extra pressure to force the cable into the charger. When it would not fully go in, the adapter broke when the cable was removed.

This was a very inexpensive product and I definitely got what I paid for. The wall charger get very hot, very quickly when being used. I ended up throwing it away because I was concerned of how warm it was getting.
