This works as advertized allowing you to charge your iPod without being connected to a computer. One adapter works with any outlet in your house. The other plugs into the cigarette lighter in your car to power or recharge your ipod as you drive.
I never figured out what the 'socks' were for, since they didn't fit over the iPod classic I had. I filled them with catnip, closed the openings with rubber bands and threw them on the floor. My cats have been quite happy with them ever since.

This product did not charge any of my iPods whether it was the wall charger or car charger. I tried the wall charger in three different outlets and the car charger in two different vehicles and no charging took place.
My iPods include: 2nd generation Nano (it specifically states that the chargers will charge this model); 3rd generation Nano (again, specifically indicates this model); and 3 3rd generation Touches (indicates Touch, but not the specific generation).
I'm disappointed and would no recommend this product.

Have had the sock for over a year. It has held up well. iTouch fits in it with some room to spare. Soft and thick, so provides for adequate protection.
The charges work, but does take some time to charge. They are compact, so good for traveling.
