Good for what it is, just not as a gaming keypad Nov 10, 2010
By H. van der Kooij This keypad is a mixed bag for me. I ordered it to be used as a mini-keyboard for gaming, with an Eagle Eye Converter by Penguin United. The extra spacebar on the left together with a good price made it very appealing. Unfortunately, some keys are only registered with numlock, and then each number also sends a numlock to the computer. This is what I noticed when trying to configure the EEC with this pad, making it not very useful for me.
These are very likely not issues for people doing data entry, it's just my peculiar application.
Overall, the quality is good. Feels solid, sits well on the desk, no sharp edges (bottom is actually rounded, great for when you lean on it with your hand!), and the buttons are easy but have a distinct feel when you click them. Don't need much force, but it's unlikely you'll get accidental keypresses.
To sum it up:
Pros: - Great build quality, feels solid, rounded bottom part. - Buttons have a good feel to them - Extra space button (although that's also a con, as many Excel users and other form-based apps use tab to switch)
Cons: - The extra numlock character sent. Issue for me, probably not in an office context. - Registers as a 100mA device in my machine, not 50mA. Only an issue if you're power constrained on a hub (999/1000 people won't notice) - HORRIBLE BLISTER PACKAGING!!! No problem if you intend to use it, but difficult to open and an issue returning it.

Very handy for accounting Jun 22, 2010
By Dana Quitslund I like this keypad because it's portable, unlike a full keyboard, with my laptop. The localized NumLock is perfect, making the pad numeric without affecting the main keyboard (in fact, I never turn it off). Having +-/*, backspace and Enter keys is great. I don't understand why no one provides a tab key on these pads--I use Excel all the time, and tab would be way more useful than the Space key in the 'thumb' position. All in all, highly recommended.

Works Great Nov 05, 2009
By ProfTweetyBird I have used this USB number pad at least 10 times over the last two months. It has worked perfectly every time. (I typically use it to enter grades into a spreadsheet.) I highly recommend it, especially since the price was good, too.

Connectland Wired Keypad Oct 04, 2011
By Austin I am a student at Ferris State University In the Mechanical Engineering field, I bought an HP Pavilion G6 to use as a Primary computer to work with Auto Cad and Catia. When I bought the computer I didn't think to look for a Number pad because the price for 4gb of ram and a quad core processor was just too great. But I later realized that I would need one if I was going to be using any engineering software. That's when I started looking on amazon. I found this one to be pretty good in the other reviews and figured that it was more than worth the price. This thing is awesome!! The keys on it are better than the ones on my laptop. They are really soft and very responsive, the space-bar is really handy for all the dimensions that I need to input. The only downside that I found to this product is that when number lock is turned on (on my computer anyways) it sets off the toggle keys beep from windows 7 with any key on the keypad, I just disabled toggle keys on my computer because it is not that important anyway and that solved that problem. It is a great buy for anyone that needs a Number pad! Highly Recommended!

No problems here! Sep 09, 2011

This number pad has been a lifesaver to me! I use it with my laptop when doing some accounting work for a friend. The numbers respond quickly and the extra spacebar button is wonderful! It was plug and play on my computer so setup was a breeze! It also seems to be quite durable because I've knocked it around A LOT! I'd recommend it because of it's value!
