Pretty good protective case Oct 01, 2009
By Leonard Ancheta The new action jacket by DLO is a pretty good way to protect the new ipod nano 5g. The case has a nice rubberized feel to it, which makes it easier to hold the nano. The case is not heavy at all, it wraps very snugly to the ipod and can be used with or without the armband strap. I decided to use the case without because I find it easier to navigate the menu when the ipod is not strapped to my arm. I just keep it in my pocket when jogging. If you do decide to use the strap, it is a chore to weave it through the backing of the case, and it is not really easy to take off if you want to take it off the strap. Also, this case DOES NOT HAVE A SCREEN PROTECTOR, so you must purchase it separately. Overall I am happy with it. But again, you must purchase a screen protector separately.

DLO iPod Nano 5G Action Jacket just OK Dec 04, 2009
By Jennifer A. Hladik

I had previously owned a DLO iPod Nano 3G cover and loved it. So I purchased this one on behalf of my thoughts of the previous model. This newer style needs some slight redesign. The bottom velcro flap is off center - as it should be. However it should be to the other side, so that the earphones can plug be easily accessible to the iPod. There is a thin plastic layer that covers the iPod so you must navigate through it instead of directly touching the iPod wheel. Its effective, I just prefer direct contact. I like the swivel clip. I am not sure what the other review refers to about having to attach the strap - you simply can wrap armband around your arm and then clip the jacket onto it. I will keep this item, as it fits my purpose but it's not exactly perfect.

Not as good as previous generations Jun 23, 2010
By A. Cabrera I loved my DLO first generation iPod nano case. It fit well, and gave me access to the headphone jack.
I have recently upgraded to a fifth generation nano and was disappointed with what was offered for a case from other brands. I was thrilled to discover Dlo had a case and did not hesitate dropping $30 on it. Now I've had my case for four months and the plastic cover is permanently scratched up. The back clip dented my iPod nano. The back clip in general is bulky, unlike the first generation. And the velcro flap covers the headphone jack. I have to lift up the flap to insert headphones, which is annoying. Not worth $30 and I regret not returning it for a refund.

Bouncy Dec 15, 2011
By Taylor Wickens The photo of this product is a bit misleading. The Nano actually goes into the case which has a clip on the back. The clip, then clips to the band on your arm. Because there's the space between the actual band and the case that the nano is in, the thing, bounces around on your arm if you're running and isn't very useful as such (and highly annoying).
I've since just discarded the armband portion and clip the thing to my shorts. It works just as well and the only thing keeping me from giving it a 1 star.

No way this was made for Nano 5G Oct 20, 2010
By M. Lustig This was my second DLO jacket, the first for my 3G, which I loved. I really like the convenience of the clip which makes it easy to attach to the arm band, but also I dont have to take it out of the case to use it in my car. However either this wasnt designed for the 5G (likely 4G) or I received two that were mfg defects.
The window on the case doesnt exactly fit the controls. The lower window doesnt reach down far enough to allow operation of the click wheel. to get it to work I have to stretch the case front, however this prevents the case from closing correctly.
The bottom of the case has a flap which attaches to the back by velcro tab. The tab is clearly designed to be more toward one side, which would be perfect if it was the correct side. This case over covers the headphone port, while leaving the sync port partially exposed. The result is that I have to undo the flap to insert the headphones.
I gave this 2 stars because Im still using it, but had it fit correctly, I would have upped it to 5.
