Bad overcharging choice Dec 07, 2010
By R. D. Smith The product works OK, more or less. It suffers from a fatal flaw, however. To prevent overcharging of a battery, any battery charger will stop charging after a while. This charger measures overcharging by how long it has been plugged into the wall (8 hours). To plug a new device into the charger, you have to unplug it from the wall to use again. Also, this does not stop the charger from overcharging a battery, only from overcharging it for FOREVER.
There is are reasons why the Apple charger is more expensive. Only one of those reasons is that Apple demands a brand premium. But the bottom line is that the Apple charger is a much better charger.

Garbage Mar 25, 2011

It works, but keeps turning itself off to prevent overcharging. Why this charger has that "feature" and other do not, I don' know. Unless you plan on plugging it in where you can get to it easily, don't bother. Bought it to use it at work, but the outlet is on the floor under my desk.

STOP!!!! Feb 16, 2011
By Nicole C. Christianson If you are buying this for your iPhone stop and think again. It's not worth it. This charger takes for ever to charge, when your phone is plugged in and ringer is on it will not ring to alert you of a phone call or even vibrate. The charge won't even stay as long as the original apple cord charge gives. Save your time and money.
