Use these for their intended purpose. Feel very comfortable and lite. Will make you sweat a little but thats to be expected from full head phones. Good sound and keeps out unwanted backround noise. Good sound adjustment.

I wanted a set of headphones, with adjustible volume for my metal detector. I got these Garrett headphones and they are superb. Garrett has wonderful products ! Give them a try !

 Muted sound. No where near the quality of Killer B's Aug 25, 2011

I must disagree with the previous posters. I purchased these headphones to use with my Silver Umax, Compadre, and Fisher F5. The sound is no where near as clear as it is with my Killer B's. Then again, they're only 30 bucks. Note: It's important to match the impedance of headphones to get the best sound. These are OK for starting out, but you're going to want better headphones very soon. The plus side is these headphones are VERY comfortable. I've had no problems hunting for hours with them on. The wire to the cuff however, does make a distracting sound when you're using silent discrimination. That could probably be fixed by adding some shrink tubing where the wire meets the cuff.

Items are exactly as advertised. Good addition to the MD set of tools. Using the headphones blocks out external noises, so you can better concentrate on what your MD is telling you, AND, using the headphones eliminates external noises (beeps) that quite often annoy other folks close by.

These are very well-made metal detecting headphones for the price. They work fine for coin and relic hunting, although you may want a pair with higher ohms for nugget hunting. Garrett makes good products.
