| | Description | Your car and iPod create a perfect match and iCarPlay is the ultimate matchmaker. You love listening to your iPod or iPhone everywhere you go. Now there's a way to enjoy your favorite songs even more. The Monster iCarPlay Wireless 250 gives you an easy way to listen to your iPhone and iPod music on any car's FM radio, whether you're commuting in your own car, road tripping in a friend's convertible, or behind the wheel of a vacation rental. It's like having your own private radio station that plays all your favorite songs. The iCarPlay Wireless 250 is designed to let you play your iPod or iPhone music in any car by sending a wireless audio signal that plays over the FM radio. Just connect the iCarplay Wireless 250 to your iPod or iPhone and plug the power adapter into your car's cigarette lighter outlet. Tune the iCarPlay Wireless 250 and the radio to the same FM frequency, and turn up the music. Now everyone in the car can enjoy iPod (and iPhone) tunes through the car's speaker system. It is engineered to deliver the best possible sound and reduce interference wherever you drive. Advanced circuitry rejects cell phone interference so you don't hear annoying beeps and buzzes. And the iCarPlay Wireless 250 outputs a line-level audio signal that minimizes distortion, so you hear full-range dynamic sound for an incredible listening experience. Exclusive Monster AutoScan 3D technology rapidly scans the FM spectrum three times and locks in the clearest FM frequency, so you're automatically tuned to the best station. To eliminate the distraction of manual tuning, you also can enter three pre-set stations on the iCarPlay Wireless 250 for easy one-touch tuning - it's just like entering any station preset on your car radio. The iCarplay Wireless 250 also charges, so you can listen on the longest road trips and your iPod or iPhone will have plenty of power when you arrive at your destination | |

don't bother Aug 16, 2008

i had the previous version of this product -- with 8 stations you could switch through, and when it got stepped on, thought it'd be a good idea to upgrade. big mistake. for whatever reason, this one is far more staticky than the old one, and i have to hold the cord up against the steering wheel at all times while driving to get any sound at all.
the auto-scanning feature, and the fact that you can go to any station, are also so-so. the three-button design is confusing and involves a lot of waiting 5 seconds for displays to change, which is not ideal while driving. i really wish i'd gotten the old model again.

Monsters screwed up big this time: Monster 250 icarplay Oct 27, 2008
By C. Hanamaikai I have used monster cables before and have loved them but this one SUCKS. I lost my last one and had to upgrade to this one because its the one for the Itouch. There is only one station i can find driving from my house to work that i can actually hear the music on and that one is constantly cutting off to complete static. When it is playing the music there is a constant crackle and static. Don't buy this item, Monster screwed up big this time and it is not worth you money.

Expected better from Monster products Oct 15, 2008
By Hong Lam I was very disappointed in the product, the sound quality was worse than listening to an AM radio channel, if you could even find a station without interference to start with. I commute from LA to San Bernardino and if I was able to find a relatively clear channel it would not last longer than 3 minutes until I had search for a new channel.

Great Product Oct 01, 2009

I found this product to be extremely easy to use and its quality is unmatched in my book. When I need to search around for a clear station, it does so fairly quickly and I usually only have to search around once in a while. There are days that I beleive that atmospheric interference can play a role in why you might not find a station that is altogether clear, but this problem I have found to be RARE. I only have one small critisizm about this product and that is the detachable plug is easily lost if you are not careful. Other than that, I recommend this product on the HIGHEST LEVEL!!!!

Monster...what did you do?? Dec 29, 2008
By Mahesh Ramanadham I have been using FM transmitters for my Ipods for 5 years now, both the 8-channel "red" monster, and the belkin product as well. Both were crystal clear, easy to use, and easy to switch stations when interference eventually came around.
When it was time to get a new Transmitter that could charge my Ipod touch as well as play it I decided to go back to Monster since I LOVED my red one. THIS WAS SUCH A BAD IDEA. I have no idea why, but this transmitter cannot transmit a clear signal to the radio. There was static on every station, not to mention that usually the case was that I was only able to get a decently clear signal on ONE and only ONE station in the FM band... I tried this transmitter in 4 different cars in dallas TX and in Baltimore MD, usually not a problem with the other products. I really thought this monster would deliver, but its total crap.
I don't think its just the monster either, I bought the Belkin tunecast for the Itouch for my drive from baltimore to new york. Same Story. Something just isn't right about these new transmitters.
