Purchased Apple USB Power Adapter for iPod shuffle (2nd gen) - compatible product. The adapter arrived on time but did not work - went to the Apple Genius Bar and they tested it out and determined it was faulty. Most likely this product was not a genuine Apple product - it arrived in a small ziploc bag.

I bought 3 of these and they literally fried my iPhone. I had 6 days of warranty left and was able to get a replacement phone from the apple store. I brought home the new phone last nit and plugged it up today and the same thing happened!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!

Was floored by the fact that this sells in the apple store and radioshack for $30 when it can be had online for pennies. Well, apparently there's a reason. Bought two of them, neither work with my iPhone 3G on which I am running iOS 4. Plug it in and it seems like it's charging. Then the plug symbol appears in the battery indicator as if it's fully charged but no charge has actually been transmitted to the phone's battery. Buyer beware......

I bought this little fellow expecting to leave him in my carry aboard for my frequent trips; however, when I arrived at my first destination with it in tow is when I learned that my iPad would not charge with it. Nor my iPod. I'm not sure exactly what they built it to charge -- perhaps older generations of devices than mine? -- but it has worked excatly not at all for me. A similar but larger unit that arrived with my iPod works well with both. So much for cutting down luggage weight.
