Love My Otterbox! May 13, 2010

I've had my Otterbox for around a month and I really love it! It keeps everything covered and I have no problem with hearing people through the cover,no problem with putting it in my back pocket or getting it out and it's not too big that it doesn't fit into my purse or anything else. I've only dropped my phone once and it had absolutely, no damage at all. I'm so glad I purchased it and my daughter also, just recently bought one and she loves it just as I do. You wouldn't be disappointed in buying one. It's great!

Pro:
* good protection
* nice feel
* easy install
* makes phone easier to hold because of increased size
Cons:
* makes phone considerably bigger
* takes time to getting use to pressing keys in the corners.

I ordered the Otterbox for my Apple iPhone 3gsi after my old belt-clip failed and my beloved iPhone fell into a puddle. Miraculously, I grabbed it quick enough that the water didn't damage the phone, but it sent me searching for a more secure clip, and a more protective case. The Otterbox is a great solution. The best parts of this system include: two different "layers" of protection, with the soft rubber outside encasing a hard plastic inside. It has a clear plastic screen that sits on top of the iPhone screen, a membrane over the ear piece, and rubber caps that cover the headphone and charger sockets. The phone is very well protected. This clips into a separate belt-clip which seems pretty secure, though a friend told me his older model is now a bit too loose for his comfort. The touch-screen performance is surprisingly good given that there is an additional layer between your finger and the screen. The CONS: The phone is now pretty large, and some may not like that (doesn't bother me). Neither of my non-Apple car chargers will fit into the phone with the case on it, and that's a bummer. Also, the plastic cover over the iPhone touch screen creates a distracting appearance that looks sort of like a bubble on the phone. I would give this a perfect score if the openeing for the charger were a wee-bit larger to accomodate car chargers like the iGo or similar.

this is the only case i would even think about getting for my phone. all the protection does make the phone a bit more bulky but it's a small trade-off to the protection this case provides.
