I thought what the heck...4 bucks. I'm not you're typical "impulsive" shopper, but I have have bought many quality products for almost nothing here on amazon. not the case with this purchase. It does charge my ipod touch, but if i try to operate the ipod while charging...well..it's impossible...very erratic behavior...it becomes the "ipod untouchable". Now, maybe this product wasn't meant to be used while operating the ipod, but the behavior of the ipod(while charging) is so bazaar, I'm a little apprehensive to connect it at all.

I have ordered two of these because I broke the first cord (all my fault). They have mostly sturdy construction and the retractable cord is nice, it is about 1' 6" to 2" long and everything works great.
