Great Buds May 05, 2008
By Christopher Toth I purchased several ear buds trying to find just the right one for my iPod. The sennheiser CX300's are HORRIBLE-no Bass, bad fit & $51.00. Also tried the Griffen Tunebuds- also poor sounding. These GMS-104's ROCK! Great Bass & Highs. Well balanced. It seems that the most important thing with ear buds is the fit into the ear canal. If they don't fit tight and inside, you will not get the Bass response needed. I have small ear canal openings, so finding the right fit is hard. These are designed like a hearing aid - nice and tight. A lot of thought went into the design of these "Buds". The price is is the best part. For half the cost of the sennheiser's, I get a far better product.

Great sound, average build Jun 06, 2008
By maina donaldson The in-ear construction of these headphones is far superior to regular earbuds, and the sound they produce is nothing short of amazing. Rich bass and a good spectrum of other frequencies have me listen to my Zune at half the volume I used to listen at with my original Zune headphones. I had to switch to the small ear pieces (come with 3 sizes), because the rubber part of the big one fit too snuggly, came off and got stuck in my ear a couple of times. This construction could probably be improved. I also wish the cable wasn't quite so fragile and thin.
Other than that... Sweet earbuds that work very well shutting out external sounds.

Great Set of Earphones for the Money! Apr 23, 2008
By J. Bell I just purchased a set of these, and needless to say I am more than pleased. I challenge anyone to find a better set of earphones in this price range. I own a pair of $50.00 Senheiser's and these are definitley better IMO. They are built really well, look great, and produce an overall well balanced warm sound. Not to extreme in bass or treble. ANother good point is that they do not produce any distortion with loud volume levels, like my previous ones have. There are definitely better earphones out there, but at this price range, I haven't come across any that are as good as these. Definitley recommended.

Worth the $$ Dec 18, 2009
By billyhousemover Just received my buds and the first thing I noticed was that they came with a carrying case. Did not recall reading that they came with the buds but it was a nice surprise. The case is a hard case about the size of a coke can in circumference and about one inch thick. It has a sturdy zipper for opening and closing. The inside even has a small net pouch for storing the extra ear cushions. The next thing I noticed was the wire for the buds. I read where several people complained about the thickness of the wire so I compared them to the ones that came with my ipod and it is just a shade smaller. I am a sound engineer for our church and I have only had a problem with one wireless mic wire, and it was even smaller than this one. Do not wrap or roll the wire up when you store it. Just kind of bunch it up when you put it in the case and you will probably never have any issues with the wire. They probably should have put protectors near the ends to help keep the wire from breaking but if you take care of them they should last for a long time. The elbows (or whatever they are called) that connect to the left and right buds are made of plastic and feel pretty flimsy but I am assuming they use plastic to make them lighter. Not a big issue for me. They come with three different size ear canal cushions. I had to take off the medium ones that came on them and put on the small size. Not the easiest thing to do but once I got them on and stuck them in my ears they felt 100 percent better than the buds that came with the ipod (HANDS DOWN). After wearing them for about an hour there was just a little discomfort but nothing like the pain I endured with the old buds. I forgot I had them on one time and almost yanked them out by accident. Now for the most important quality in buds. What do they sound like? GREAT! Now you have to keep everything in perspective here. The speakers are about the size of a number button on a tv remote! But they have a good range from the bass to the highs. I doubt the bass hits as low as they claim but much better than all of the other brands I have tried out. I am still breaking them in for the recommended 8 to 10 hours and hope to gain even better sound but for the price I think you would be hard pressed to find better sounding buds on the market. I am glad I can quit looking for a pair of buds that live up to my standards. These are the ones!!
P.S.THEY STAY IN YOUR EARS!
UPDATE After breaking them in for the 10 hours, it did seem to make a difference in the low end. I have been using them for about five days now and I have found that the buds need to be pushed all the way in to the ear canal for the best sound. My ears got just a little sore the first couple of days but now they do not bother me at all. I wore them for an hour and thirty minutes while working out at the gym and after removing them my ears were completely fine. The music is really crisp with the perfect balance of lows and highs. THEY DID NOT FALL OUT THROUGH MY WHOLE WORKOUT! That alone makes them worth the $$.
Update I - After 4 months of heavy use no problems at all and would purchase another pair in a quick minute.
Update II - 8 months and still rocking. Average use - 1 hour 4 days a week.

Great sound and fit Aug 14, 2008
By Kelly The style of earbud for this product is great, it blocks out sound decently well while still looking pretty inconspicuous. I've been using them in the garage where my brother has the tv blaring and we're sanding all sorts of wood but these earphones really blocked out the sound. I just tucked the wire under my shirt to make sure it didnt get damaged by any of our construction activity. You know you have purchased superior quality earbuds when you're hearing musical parts in a familiar song that you couldnt hear with your older pair, becuase im hearing great things in this. To be able to pick out different guitars, faint background singers, and even individual instruments in the background symphony is pretty sweet. The cord does seem kind of fragile, but i use black electrical tape with all my headphones to strengthen where the wire plugs into the mp3 device, its just a precaution. Overall, great sound and looks great while keeping outside noise out (where it belongs!). The only downside is that it apears to be kind of fragile and I dont want to test that theory, but i'm sure if i take care of them and don't expose it to any hazardous situations my care will pay off in a long product life!
