Everything about these buds are average. If you're looking for something compact these buds will work. I'm 6ft. and wear my mp3 player on my belt the length of the speaker wire is to short for that.

I purchased this headset to replace my retractable Macally one. This headset requires that you pull both ends to extract evenly. Used properly, it's fairly reliable, with decent sound quality. Not for use with desktops that sit on the ground, as the cord measures only 32" from jack to earpiece. The clip is 5" away from the jack and stationary, which is probably meant to clip to your pants with the music device in your pocket.

These sit in ears well. There is a handy clip that can attach to a pocket, shirt, etc... The mechanism is smooth and has not failed once in the 4 months I have owned these, nor snagged or twisted. These fully retract, which is very convenient. The length is adequate that the ipod can be placed in a pants' pocket.

I really wish I read the reviews for this product. I thought, really, how bad could headphones be? And when I bought them a week ago they were like 8 bucks, now for some reason they're 12. I assure you, it's not worth it.

The retractable cord is absolutely flimsy, and if you dont pull both ends it gets all silly. And I really wanted something that I could retract and toss in my bag instead of having to wrap up the cord, but it wont retract past the useless clip on the end enough to make this what I wanted it to be.

The earbuds are too big, unless you take off the pads, but then they're just uncomfortable.

Also, there's only a few stops that the retractable cords will stop at. So chances are you'll get too much wire or not enough and unable to find a happy medium.

Honestly, you'd be better off getting a pair of skull candy earbuds and taking the extra effort to wrap up the cord. They're much better quality.

I bought this so that my wires would not tangle on the run, but the cord is too short and I'm only 5'4" . When I have my mp3 player in my pocket, it would not be able to reach my ears. The covers on the earbuds are scratchy and the sound is horrible. Don't waste your money on this.
