I missed the fact that this unit has NO battery compartment. It is not portable which makes it fairly useless. The unit works OK watching DVD's, but whats the point of a portable DVD player that's not portable?????

At best, I am disappointed in this portable DVD player. For $199, the 11" video is acceptable. But the sound quality is pathetic, weak, and thin; and that's 50% of the product. My netbook has much better video and sound. I just thought I'd get better quality in this little boom-box-reminicent device. Move on to another product to get your money's worth. I'm so disappointed, I'm shipping it back today.
And speaking of returns, when I got my product, it was obviously a "return" as all the cords were unpacked & the plastic was torn. Hmmm, I wonder why they shipped it back?
