I like them overall... May 15, 2010
By L.M. My husband got me these for my birthday. You just stick your ipod in one side and put on the headphones. He got them because they are cordless, I wear my ipod when I'm cleaning and was complaining about getting the cord caught on something. I like them because they don't need batteries and don't have a cord. The sound quality is fine but I just listen to podcasts so I can't comment on it much. What I don't like about the headphones is I feel kind of dorky walking around with big headphones with my ipod stuck in them. But I just wear them around the house so no big deal. I also don't like it because I have to take them off and on to adjust my ipod. But overall, the positives of no cords or batteries to deal with outweigh the negatives.

By Friendly Star I love this product. So much easier to use when I run on the treadmill than having the Ipod on my arm or in my pocket.

Mixed feelings, but mostly bad. Jan 01, 2009
By Daniel Josephy H.
"Music fan \m/, language dominator, book worm."
I got these headphones as a gift from my girl because she couldn't used them with her iPod classic (only 2nd and 3rd gen. Nano. It does come with some cables to use with (as is stated in the instructions) "1st gen. and non-iPod audio players).
I am what you'd call an "audiophile," and I am also a musician (bass player), so I know when something sounds really bad. I will try to explain myself because these headphones are a weird case.
What I've noticed is that the sound quality depends a lot on the production of a specific record, which shouldn't be the case. When I use my other ear-phones( V-moda, which are great), even though production always makes a difference, it does not make such a big difference as in this case.
I've noted that acoustic guitars sound great (e.g. The Cranberries, Animal Instinct), but the sound is horrible when there are a lot of instruments or voices at the same time (e.g. The Cranberries, Promises). This record has one of the best productions I've ever heard, so it's obvious that it'll be good (notice that it's good, not excellent).
However, the production has to be really superb, basically perfect, for the sound to be bearable. Blind Guardian's "Fly" has a great production, but it sounds horrible here. T "And then there Was Silence" (from the album, not the EP) also sounded quite bad, and even though the production of that CD is not that good, it sounds a lot better on my earphones.
I then heard Carlos Gardel. And, well, I never imagined I'd say this, but he sounds awful! Gardel!!! If you've heard him you'd know that's saying a lot. As with Dark Tranquillity's "Inside the Particle Storm," the voice sounds dreadful at (a lot) of times! However, in DT's song the guitar solo sounds ok because it's the only thing being played at that moment.
Candlemass's "Lucifer Rising" gave me a headache before finishing the song.
Threshold's "Opyum (Synthetic Remix)" (an electronic song) was ok, but again the lows could barely be heard.
Uli Jon Roth's "Land of the Dawn" was fine, but the bass (which is simply excellent in this song, lots of slapping) can *barely* be heard.
The design of the headphones is the best feature, it's really nice. It can be folded so you can carry them easily. I doesn't need batteries (they use the iPod's), and that's good.
But in the end I wouldn't recommend this product; if you don't care about how good music can sound you can get them, but if you like to be surrounded by sound and be immersed in the song/sound, these headphones are NOT for you.
P.S: And you should be ready for some headaches, but that may just be me.
